I'M A DANCEHALL ARTSITE for now - MzVee discloses

A cross section the general public and Dancehall musicians have stated that MzVee is more of a singer than a DanceHall Artiste.

These arguements commenced when she was nominated in the DanceHal Artiste of the Year category for the Vodafone Ghan Mucsic Awards 2015.
Again, alot more have also argue that she should not refer herself as a DanceHall Artiste because she does not belong to that genre.
MzVee on Gh One TV's "AND THE WINNER IS" show (a program which serves as a build-up to the VGMAs telecast live on GhOne TV weekdays from 6:30pm) last week Thursday reacted to these arguements.

She said, “For now, I’m a dancehall artiste because majority of the songs that I’ve released so far are dancehall songs”.  She goes on to say she will continue to be in the dancehall business for long.

MzVee who has being nominated for six categories for the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards disclosed that she personally think she deserves more than the six nominations.

"I’ve paid my dues so well, and I think I deserve more than 6 nominations, I’ve really worked hard in the year under review so I think I deserve more and more nominations than the six nominations I’ve gotten”.

MzVee won the "UNSUNG" category in the last edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards and it gave her the opportunity to perform on the night. Ever since then, she and her management, Lynx Entertainment have risen through the channel to stardom in the Ghana Music cycle.

MzVee who was formerly of D3 group which won the Vodafone ICONS music reality show went solo when the group dissolved.

The "Natural Girl" hitmaker has been nominated in the following categories for the 16th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards to be held on the 11th of April at the Accra International Conference Centre:
 Artiste of the year, Reggae/Dancehall artiste of the year, Reggae/Dancehall song of the year, New Artiste of the year, Female Vocalist of the year and Album of the year.

When asked of her chances of winning, she mentioned that she will win in the various categories nominated and that she thinks she has no competition though all the other nominees are very good artistes.
She also further hinted to her fans and all music lovers to expect a diversity from her camp this year as well as more collaborations.
