As this issue is already not solved, Nana Kwame Ampedu another Ghanaian Highlife veteran is claimimg to have started "rap" music in the world.

He made this known in a documentary which was shown during the Vodafone Ghana Music Industry Awards held at the Alisa Hotel on the 6th of April.

Nana Kwame Ampedu who received the Life Time Achievement award for the 16th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards claim he didnt know what he was doing back then and didn't know the name of his act.

The "Obra" hitmaker has to his credit over hundred songs with many hits. He is popularly called, "Nwomtufuo hene" (King of Music).
