A lot have been said concerning the just ended
2015 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards which happened on the night of 11th April 2015
inside the Accra International Conference Center.
This years edition was
relatively the best as compared to the previous years. However, the only total
flop of this year's VGMA was the long duration. Over 6 hours for a music award?
Really?
As I said, so far so good and over 70% celebrities have shown
their positive impression about the VGMA except for our very own Odo Carpenter,
Bisa Kdei and other few who think things didnt go on in favor of their
hard-work
Well, it seems Bisa is not the only one who has a question for
Charter House.
The Ma Y3 Se Mo P3n hit-maker, O.J, who was on the Drive
Time Show with Kay on Vision1 93.5 FM has laid down his opinion with the
event.
When asked by Kay on his opinion with the VGMA, he answered
I have nothing to say because my opinion wouldnt change what has already happened but the only thing i will like to tell the organizers is that, the car which was given to the Gospel Artiste Of The Year should be consistent.
O.J also advised Ghanaian Dj's and Presenters to be giving credit to musicians when their songs are being played on air.
Explaining his observation, O.J believes most listeners easily fall in love with gospel songs but turns out to be almost impossible for them to grab copies of whatever song being played on air since the fans become ignorant about the composer/artiste of the song - He however believes mentioning names of musicians will help Gospel Artistes and aid increase their fan base.
The 2015 MOGO Best Original Gospel Act for the first time stated on air that, fans should expect his new album which will be released anytime from now.
Talking about his sad beginnings, O.J said, he was once a garbage boy with no 'value' but now, here he is with great achievements and in all, he gives thanks to GOD.
O.J, who was by then no lady's favorite also revealed how he met his lucky wife through one of his songs. He said, one of his biggest hits titled Ko So Aa Na Ko So was a song he personally didnt like but fortunately for him, it became the song that saved his album and in addition, gave him the lucky woman he is currently with.
On how he met his wife with Ko So Aa Na Ko So, O.J said, the woman was by then in Holland, performing and singing the said song with her friends. So one day, she called the number on the song which happened to be his (O.J) personal number and through their conversation on phone, the two fell in love.
How lucky for Mr. Romeo O.J.
The Drive Time Show with Kay on Vision1 93.5 Fm starts from Monday to Friday - 3:00pm to 6:00pm each day.
