Reports received indicates the Inspector General of Police (IGP) has directed that the lady at the centre of the Takoradi alleged abduction and sexual assault case should be transferred to Accra.
This directive is said to based on information gathered by the police which is directed to the whole kidnapping and rape saga as a staged thing.
The Ghana Police Service is yet to make an official statement but we hear there will be a press briefing on the matter on Thursday morning at the Police Headquarters in Accra.
Unconfirmed reports indicates that blood samples have also been taken to ascertain whether she was indeed raped.
Doctors at the GHAPOHA Hospital have deferred comments on their initial observations to the Police Hospital in Accra.
According to uncinfirmed reports, based on what doctors have done so far, they cannot conclude that the lady was sexually assaulted.
When the whole saga commerced, the name everyone knew was Ada but she has now being identified as Persis Naana Akosua Appiah Antwi by the Police.
Named by her employers as Ada, the presenter of Takoradi-based YFM, was said to have been abducted last week and sexually assaulted by unknown individuals. She was found Tuesday morning and was sent to the GHAPOHA Hospital in Takoradi.
She had been missing for about five days and her employers - Global Media Alliance – owners of YFM put out her name and asked the public to help find her.
Her abductors reportedly took pictures of the sexual assault, which they posted on Facebook. Some of the pictures have also been circulating on Whatsapp.
