There seem to be some kind of youthful evolution on going in the Ghanaian Political cycles. Not long ago, former Joy FM Super Morning Show host Kojo Oppong Nkrumah and Okay FM’s Abeiku Santana declared their intentions to run for Member of Parliament primaries for the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) and ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) respectively.
As if that is not enough, another personality in the entertainment industry in Ghana has express interest in contesting for a political seat.
Half Ghanaian half Nigerian actress Ebi Bright is said to be "sharping her cutlass" to enter the Ghaian political farm to weep her portion by contesting for Member of Parliament on the ticket of CPP in the Tema Central Constituency in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana.
Viasat1 (a television station in Ghana) reports, the actress hosted a session of the Convention Peoples Party (CPP) Tema Central executives at her residence on Friday.
Tema Central Constituency was one of the newly created constituencies during the 2012 General Elections. Mr Kofi Brako, a businessman contested and won the seat on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the December 7 polls with 26,948 votes.
Mr Issca Nuku Asempa who contested for Convention Peoples Party (CPP) obtained 193 votes.
