Sarkodie Apologises to Kwaw Kese for ''Stealing'' his Beat
Multi Award winning Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie born Michael Kwesi Owusu Addo has made an interesting revelation in an interview on Citi fm prior to his fourth album launch, "Mary". An album the musician says he dedicate it to his grandmother who always wanted him to do live recording.
Sarkodie revealed he actually "stole" Kwaw Kese's beat to do a song called ''Nea woye'' which featured Obrafuor.
According to him, he heard the beat from Hammer and he loved it. He expressed interest but Hammer told him it was Kwaws'.
Sarkodie says he had to wait for about a year and since Kwaw Kese wasn't using the beat, he paid Hammer and he got the beat.
"This is news news news. This beat is originally for Kwaw Kese. He didn't rap on it and was wasting time (in a funny tone). So l heard it and told Hammer on that same day l really need this beat. Hammer said it was Kwaws'. So l told him l will be waiting. Am only given Kwaw Kese time. So it took me like a year. I was waiting but Kwaw did not do anything with the beat so l paid Hammer and l got the beat.
Kwaw sorry oooo, sorry! sorry!!'' Sarkodie apologises to Kwaw Kese after narrating the story behind the song '' Elijah''.
Sarkodie in the same interview acknowledged all the producers he has worked with. According to him, Magnom, Kaywa, Killbeats, Hammer, Anshona Music, Fortune Denee, King of Accra, Jayso. All these producers give classics and if you don't believe him, you can visit them and you will know what he is talking about. Despite the praise to all these producers, he listed his top four producers who he says will always be on his album no matter what.
"No offends to anybody but now l have four strong producers that l don't joke with. Anytime they tell me they have sent me a beat, l am always in a rush to listen to it because l know it will be ''dope''. Let me run the list from four. Four l will put Kaywa, three is Hammer, two is Killbeats and one is Jayso'' said Sarkodie.
