Reggie Rockstone apologizes to Zapp Mallet on Live TV

The "Grand Papa" of Ghanaian music genre Hiplife, Reggie Rockstone is said to have apologized to his long tine friend and first sound engineer he worked with Emmanuel Mallet popularly known in the entertainment circles as Zapp Mallet.

Reggie Rockstoone is said to have done what any honorable man will do by offering an apology on live TV to veteran producer.

In recent times, there have being argument on the subject, "Who the Originator of Hiplife is?"
Reggie in some interview to defend his claim as the originator of Hiplife said lots of things that did not taste well with Zapp Mallet. At one point, Reggie said he taught Zapp Mallet how to play Hip Pop beats because as at when he returned to the country, Zapp Mallet did not know how to producer Hip Pop beats but was actually producing Jazz and Gospel beats.

Speaking on a Ghanaian local television station GhOne’s entertainment TV show Pundit on Tuesday evening, Reggie Rockstone who was present with other pioneers of the hiplife movement, namely Abraham Ohene Djan, Panji Anoff and Michael Cooke explained his utterances were due to heightened badly managed emotions.

According to him(Reggie Rockstone), his reaction was due to Zapp Mallet’s attempt to discredit him for creating a brand most young Ghanaian musicians benefit from.
