EXCLUSIVE PHOTOS: Bola Ray, Dr. Osei Kwame, Edris Elba and others to win big at GUBA AWARDS

It was a night of beauty and simplicity despite the earlier distractions from the rain. Gradually guests begin to arrival whjiles "small chops" were being served at the residence of the British High Commissioner to Ghana His Excellency Jon Benjamin.

It was an interactive session as everyone awaits the commencement of the program. Lo and behold, the Chairman General of radio morning show Kwami Sefa Kayi of Peace fm in Accra, Ghana picked the microphone as the MC for the night.

One after the other, he introduce the personalities and organizers who are meant to address the guests at the gathering.

The British High Commissioner H.E. Jon Benjamin took his turn on the microphone and official launch the GUBA FOUNDATION Jamestown Project.

Mr. Gyasi Kwaw, the representative of GUBA in Ghana took his trun and gave a brief of the concept of GUBA. He then allowed spomsors to also share their believes and hopes in GUBA.

As the night of lights and a cocktail session with a cool weather, the best treat would be a melodious tune. Come came the male sensation of Ghana's music, Akwaboah Jnr. He took the guest to a sail of smoothness and a deep relaxation of no turning back.

When he ended his session of melodies, a board member of GUBA, Lynn Mann addressed the guests and gave way for the guests to watch an audio visual of the 3rd edition of the GUBA Awards.

Finally, the official Ghana Launch of the GUBA Awards was launched by a representative of the Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts in Ghana.

Mr. George Ameyaw, the head of Public Relations for GUBA, then announce the winners of the various awards categories for the year under review except for three categories which would be voted for according to the organizers.

Kwabena Anokye Adisi a.k.a. BOLA RAY and his EIB Buisness partner Dr. Kwabena Duffuor (former Finance Minister of Ghana) won Media and Entertainment Award and Exceptional Achievement Award respectively. Inspirational Woman award will be received by Ms. Joyce Roaslind Aryee for creation change and for paving the way for women being the first women to head the African Chamber of Mines.
Other winners include, Amma Asante (Pioneering Director), Rev. Kingsley Appeagyei (GUBA Benevolence), Henry Bonsu (Outstanding Journalist and Boardcasting Personality), Dr. Osei Kwame, CEO of Despite Group of Companies (Enterprise Mogul), Dr. Anthony Pile (British Service to Ghana Award), Nana Kwame Bediako (Business Enterpreneur), Prof. Azumah Nelson (Sporting Legend), Prof. Edward Ayensu (Life Time Achievement Award) and Edris Elba (Entertainment Award).

The awards night would be held on the 4th of July in London and Becca has being has being billed to perform on the night.
