The vigil as organisers said it will be recorded an overwhelming crowd of about 5,000 people. Celebrities who were able to grace the occasion with their presence were Yvonne Nelson a.k.a #Dumsor Yaa Asantewaa, D Black (Musician), Pascal Amanfo (Movie Director), Van Vicker (Actor), Efya (Musician), EL (Musician), Kubulo(Musician), Barima Sydney (Musician), Prince David Osei (Actor), DKB (Comedian), DJ Breezy (Sound Engineer), Socrate Safo (Movie Producer), Kweku Elliot (Actor) and a host of others.
The vigil commenced with a two-hour walk from the overhead between the old University of Ghana gate and the Total Gas station in Legon, Accra, Ghana.
There were songs from the crowd which was made of mostly the youth communicating to the Government of the day their frustration due to the erratic power supply in the country.
The walk ended at the green park at the Tetteh Quarshie Interchange. The celebrities took their turns and spoke to the crowd at the event.
The leader of the #DumsorMustStop vigil, Yvonne Nelson expressed her gratitude to all participants and their fellow celebrities who believe in her campaign. She ask the government to tell the people what exactly the issue is and what the government is doing to fix the problem.
