Kendrick Lamar is being sued for allegedly using a photograph without permission to promote the his single "The Blacker the Berry," off of his latest album, To Pimp A Butterfly.

Freelance photographer Giordano Cipriani names Lamar, Top Dawg Entertainment, Interscope Records and Aftermath Entertainment in the suit, claiming they used a photo he shot on a 2011 trip to Africa of a mother breastfeeding two children without permission or payment, Bossip reports. The image was reportedly used on Lamar's Youtube and Facebook pages, as well as for general press (such as Billboard's track review here).

According to the lawsuit filed July 10 in New York Federal Court, Cipriani is requesting $150,000 for each time the image was used, and additional money to pay lawyer fees. He has demanded an injunction against Lamar to prevent any further unauthorized use of the image.
