"Don't imagine stuff about me and create your headlines''.-Christabel Ekeh tells Graphic Showbiz
One of Ghana's young and fine actress Christabel Ekeh has reacted in denial of a story published by Graphic Showbiz on Thursday,July 16th edition with Headline, "Not Scared of New Faces: Christabel".
Studio360gh in a telephone conversation with the "V-Republic" actress on her denial, the actress claims she has no granted any interview to Graphic Showbiz in a longer time. According to her, she saw the story on a website and she called to ask them to pull it down because it was not true. She further told the lady (whose name she couldn't recall) she will grant her an interview if they want but she has been busy ever since and have not granted them the interview yet.
"l saw the publication on a website, l think "Live" or so. l called them and asked them to pull it down because it is not true. l further told them l will grant them an interview if they want but l have being busy and have not granted them the interview yet. So l am very surprise to see this story in Graphic Showbiz. Showbiz in particular, its being a long while l have had an interview with them so l think its unfair to publish a story when you have not spoken to me".
The actress according to the story said,
"To say l have been missing in action because of new female entrants is funny. l don't own this industry therefore l cannot say everything should be about me . After all, others pave the way for me to also become part pf the industry so there is absolutely nothing wrong if there are new faces".
The actress took to her social media platform on Sunday morning,19th July to tell the world about how unfair the publication was for her and wished she was actually granted an interview than for someone to imagine ''stuff''' and publish about her.
The young actress who has featured in many movies since her appearance in movies after her participation in the Miss Malaika Beauty pageant wrote,
"Its only fair to interview me and publish what l say! Don't imagine stuff about me and create your headlines''.
Interestingly, Kofi Okyere Darko popularly called KOD was the first to comment on the issue and his statement suggest to say he has his own experience with some media folks. He wrote:
"That is what they do. Experienced it too, hope you've learned not to deal with them again?"
