AFRIMA Holds Stakeholders’ Conference In Morocco Today
As part of its continuous strategic
engagement with stakeholders and different regions in Africa, the All
Africa Music Awards, AFRIMA, in partnership with the African Union
Commission, AUC, will hold a stakeholders’ conference for the Northern
region of Africa in Morocco, today, Thursday, July 23, 2015.
Tagged ‘Integration of Africa Through
Culture and Music’, the event is scheduled to hold at Sofitel Casablanca
Tour Blanche Hotel, Rue Sidi Belyout, Casablanca, Morocco.
Expected at the Casablanca conference
are the winners from Northern Africa at the 2014 AFRIMA edition which
include Noura Mint Seymale, Ahmed Soultan, as well as key decision
makers in the media and music industry in Northern Africa that include
Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria, and Mauritania among others.
Also, the AFRIMA team will have an
extensive meeting with the government of Kingdom of Morocco in the
capital city, Rabat on Friday, July 24,2015, as confirmed by the
Minister of Foreign Affairs, M’Barka Bouaid in addition to a number of
production meetings scheduled for Casablanca.
The AFRIMA stakeholders’ conference is a
platform for education and knowledge sharing for artistes and other
stakeholders in the African music industry to understand and align with
the vision, objectives and Ideals of AFRIMA and AUC which are aimed
towards an integrated, peaceful and prosperous Africa by using the tools
of art, music and tourism.
The All Africa Music Awards, AFRIMA, is
the continental initiative conceptualized to celebrate, showcase, reward
and promote the rich African music worldwide, thus reaching out to the
millions of fans, and propelling African music to glorious pinnacles
beyond the borders of Africa.
In a related issue, Multi talented comedian, Basketmouth has
been announced as the host for the 2015 edition of the African Muzik
Magazine Awards, AFRIMMA.
Billed to hold on Saturday, October 10,
2015 at the Black Academy of Arts and Letters in Dallas, Texas,
Basketmouth will host the event alongside Ugandan comedienne, Ann
Kansiime.
