2nd Edition of Television Awards Ghana Launched
The second edition of the Television Awards Ghana was launched yesterday at the Best Western Premier Hotel in Accra, Ghana.
The second edition according to organisers would be a festival that will running till the 6th of November with lots of activities. This decision as a result of feedback received from stakeholders from the first successful edition that was held last year in October.
The second edition according to Showtym Television, the organizers of the event, will witness awards given in twelve categories during the Industry Awards scheduled for the 8th of August, nineteen categories will also be given on the Prime Awards night with seven extra awards which 100% public voting.Last year, the 100% public vote categories were four in number but has increased this year to seven.
With digital migration on - going which Ghana is yet to commence, the television award festival will have a third face of the event that will organize Television Development Fund activities and Stakeholders' platform on Digital Television Migration which will include Ghana Telelympics to be held at the Lizzy's Sport Complex, Industry Workshop and Exhibition and finally Stakeholders Exhibition and Symposium.
Organizers have also given the 7th of July as the deadline for submission of entries by various television stations.
