MOGO FESTIVAL ENDS WITH AN AWARDS NIGHT
Music Of Ghanaian Origin Festival (MOGO FESTIVAL) finally came to an end over the weekend (28th March,2015) at the Accra International Conference Centre with an awards night.
A night which saw many Ghanaian highlife artistes receiving honors from Citi FM the organisers for their great and selfless commitment and hard work for the development of the highlife music genre.
The week-long celebrations of authentic original higlife music which marked the tenth edition of the event witnessed some beautiful performance from Nana Ampedu, Ambolley, Paapa Yankson, George Spratz,Toni Manieson and many more at the Alisa Hotel.
At the awards night,ten individuals were awarded for their outstanding contribution to original Ghanaian Highlife music.
The biggest award (Artiste of the Year) went to Okyeame Kwame.
Winners on the night included the "Yentie Obiaa" hitmaker, Daddy Lumba, Amakye Dede, Kwabena Kwabena, , Efya , George Forest, OJ , Harmonious Choral and King Shabo.
Paapa Yankson, Pat Thomas, A. B. Crentsil and Kofi Sammy received The Lifetime Achievement awards.
