Obour is pregnant....Shatta Wale
The reigning VGMAs artiste of the Year and self acclaimed
Dancehall King in Ghana, Shatta Wale has bared his teeth to the president of the
Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) Bice Osei Kufuor.
He claims the president has not help the in resolving the conflict
between Shatta Movement and Charterhouse.
He made this known on "Flex on Pluzz", a radio
show that airs on Pluzz fm every sunday afternoon.
"Let me give you an example, when there is a war
between Bolgantanga and Ashanti Region, I don't think the President will see down
and won't talk. He will make a speech; you understand me? We have a problem
with Charterhouse; the President of MUSIGA is not speaking. All because he is a
hungry person, his stomach is pregnant, he doesn't want to see work and he doesn't
know work".
He made this remarks in relation to the question why he didn't
officially write to Charterhouse requesting them not to nominate him nor his
songs for the16th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
Shatta Wale on the same show express his disapproval to the
fact that, Charterhouse portrays herself as the body that determines what good music
is and who deserves what in Ghana. He also ask Charterhouse to show a little
bit of maturity to him.
Shatta Wale is currently the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards
Artiste of the Year. He refused to be part of this year's edition relating to
the fact that, he is in court with the event organisers and again calling for
the right and deserving treatment of musicians in Ghana.
Relating to the Shatta Movement and Charterhouse, Bulldog
the manager for Shatta Wale last week wrote an open letter on his facebook to
the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Charterhouse expressing their
displeasure to the new category(Dancehall) introduced in the awards scheme.
