The Asamoah Gyan and Sheyi Emmanuel Adebayor foundations
made a joint donation to the Maternal Child Health Care in Kumasi on
Sunday mid-morning as part of activities towards the 2015 Star Soccer
Fiesta.
The two national team captains were joined by host of football
and movie stars including Jonathan Mensah, Mr. Ibu, Lil Win,Agya Koo, Akrobeto, ex-Ghana captain Stephen Appiah, and many more.
Items presented to the hospital are three TV sets
with Multi TV decoders, Mosquito nets and cash donations will be made
after the much-anticipated fun game that will line up musicians, comedians, footballers, actors and actresses at the Baba Yara sports stadium.
Earlier in the day, the duo led a host of celebrities to in a clean up exercise on Sunday morning. They were joined by the likes of Jonathan Mensah, dancehall musician Jupita and movie stars including Lilwin, Agya Koo, Akrobetu, Kweku Manu and popular Nigerian actor Mr. Ibu to hit the streets of Kumasi cleaning gutters and other filth filled places to help in solving the sanitation problem currently facing the town.
The aim of the exercise is geared towards cleaning
the environment and to inculcate in citizens the need to keep their
surroundings clean at all time. The Star Soccer Fiesta is an annual
event organized by Gold Star Consult which sees professional Ghanaian
football players play a one-off fun game against Ghanaian entertainers
and celebrity mainly drawn from the music and movie industry.
