According to Appiah, the general public should lend a helping hand to the victims of the flood in what he described as a “difficult time” for the nation. “I want to use this opportunity to tell my fellow Ghanaians that in our own small way we can help these people because these are hard times,” a distraught Appiah told Citi News.
He further stated that for such an incident to be avoided in future a change in attitude is required from the general public.
“We always blame people when such incidents occur but we need to make things right and that requires that we take responsibility.

“We have to make a conscious effort to do the right thing. We don’t always have to wait for these things to happen, we need to change our attitude,” he said.
