#ACCRAFLOODS: Edem dedicates new award to Accra flood and fire disaster victims
Ghanaian musician Edem has dedicated his award for Best International ACT - Africa at the Black Canadian Awards over the weekend to the victims of the 3rd June National disaster which hit the capital city of the country.
The VRMG CEO took to his instagram page to dedicate his award to all the victims.
“I specifically dedicate my International African Act Of The Year Award to all who lost their lives and those who lost their loved ones in the recent Accra flood disaster…to all GH ppl who are part of the everyday struggle…I promise am hopeful the new generation will continue to get power to empower and pioneer change,” he said.
Edem beat Davido (Nigeria), South African group Mafikizolo, Oritse Femi, Teeyah, Nigeria’s Yemi Alade and Uganda’s Eddy Kenzo to win the award which was held at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Toronto, Canada on Saturday.
