CHRIS ATTOH AND YVONNE NELSON IN SECRET WEDDING

CHRIS ATTOH & YVONNE NELSON IN SECRET WEDDING

Not long ago, GH hosted a secret celeb wedding between Eugene Baah of Praye fame (choirmaster) and actress Bevelyne Afaglo sent tongue wagging in the showbiz industry. Just last week, we were honoured with an invitation to witness another secret wedding ceremony of Chris Attoh and elegant Yvonne Nelson at the Aburi gardens. Indeed, the set up and props could change the mindset of even a catholic priest to have a spectacular wedding as such.
Nadia Buari, Eddie Watson, Anita Erskine, Tana from Nollywood and fame director Pascal Amafo were some of the celebrities that were presents at the colourful wedding ceremony. And for the very first time, the bride arrived on time, gracing the occasion with the bridal keyboard tunes in an immaculate dress. Paparazzi were also alert as Yvonne walks to her will-be husband and took her seat besides him.

One couldn't have believed that the occasion was actually a scene in a movie as invitations were given to the biological parents of the various actors, making the whole thing look real. As we were getting soaked in the matrimonial ceremony, songstress Efya stormed onto the set and ruined the ceremony with what seemed like a real day norm until we heard “Cut” from Pascal Amafo. Indeed, every musician is an actor; as Efya took it on as if she's being acting all her life.
Sources say the production is a collaboration of Yvonne Nelson and Media GH.

THE BRAND “KWAME SEFA KAYI”

THE BRAND “KWAME SEFA KAYI”

When l heard of the Radio and Television Personality Award to be held on the 23rd June, 2012, l asked myself the definition and for what purpose is the award?

I surf the internet to get more details on the awards and the personalities who have being nominated by organizers to be voted for.
The details l had really interest me a lot. A whole lot of persons have being nominated and to tell you the truth, each and every one of them in their own special way deserve an award. At least, if not for anything at all; for their commitment to entertaining us listeners and viewers of radio and television respectively.

At one moment when you listen to a program which does not interest you, with anger you tune to another platform of interest; but let not forget that what does not interest you would surely interest another person.
Taking a look at all the categories, l wish to focus on the top - most award
(RADIO & TELEVISION PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR)
Starting with the nominees and describing them to my understanding:

1. GIFTY ANTI – GTV – (a woman of substance with the focus of bringing the “stand points” of the feminine side which is not well known to the world and if known, simply ignored Obaa Gifty, Ayekoo)

2. KWAME DZOKOTO – TV3 & HELLO FM – (a humble man who would do what it takes to bring knowledge of good health to the door step of every Ghanaian and you won’t even know how he communicates it to ones subconscious mind. All you realize is that, you are use to the idea of good and healthy life in a comic way – Kwame, Ayedie papapaa; Meri didi)

3. PAUL ADOM OTCHERE – METRO TV – (on the road to Damascus, he found the light and transform his way of life to the good one. In the corner of challenges, he found the light that makes him stand out to digest the issues to the best of his viewers. With courage, he has being able to bring to light the current affairs of the country and world at large to the door step of the ordinary Ghanaian and beyond. With great selection of issues and panelists, he is able to satisfy the one watching his program in the best way that he can.

4. KWAME SEFA KAYI – PEACE FM

5. NANA ABA ANAMOAH – TV3 – (a young dynamic and courageous lady who would go all length to make her point known to the world. Some call her the “wild” one but to me she is the voice of what she stands for. With all what she is involved with; she tries as much as possible to ensure that what she is addressing is well understood by those watching. Nana Aba….. wayi adia papapaa…koso saaaa!!!

6. ADAKABRE FRIMPONG MANSON – ADOM FM –  (a man who would love to add comic to his presentations to ensure that the lighter side of issues is also seen so his listeners won’t take everything in the arena of challenges serious because in his presentations, there lies a solution. Adakabre….okyeame aa onim kasa…ayekoo!!!)

7. SHAMIMA MUSLIM – METRO TV & CITI FM – (one lady who made me move all the way from my home to Citi fm one Saturday morning just to congratulate her. A young intelligent, dynamic and well focused lady who has stood her grounds in the area where very few women would dare. I call her the Yaa Asantewaa of today’s media political platform. Fearless and ask what must be asked. She is really an icon for the girl child and the young ones of this generation. Shamima…Nagode…ayekoo!!!)
In the above, one would realize that all these individual really deserve the award expect one person; Kwame Sefa Kayi of Peace fm. (don’t ask why, just read on)

The question l would like to ask is, does he deserve it or must he be the winner. You can deserve an award but it doesn’t mean you should win but when you are to win, it means you are the winner.
Kwame Sefa Kayi  to me does not deserve the award but must win the award or must be given the award. Why do l sound like this? Let take a look at all these attributes of all the above mentioned personalities and see if they can be found in Kwame Sefa Kayi? I choose to address him as (KSK) in this area of identification in all personalities above.

KSK – GIFTY: KSK have demonstrated beyond all reasonable doubt that he being a man can still be classified as “woman of substance”. He goes as far as bringing to the table the dilemma of women. A typical example was when he brought a lady call Abigail to his studio and professionally interviewed her and made her plights known to the world. He did not only interview but with his influence in society, this lady was offered the table of solutions. KSK goes on to celebrate women in their achievements and also ensures that their rights are respected no matter what.

KSK – (DZOKOTO): KSK with no doubt the way l have seen him, one of the humble personalities in this country. In the mix of issues that can trigger the gun to cause violence in this country, he uses his professional and intelligent craftiness to laughably handle the issue and one subconscious mind absorbs it and unknown to the one listening, you start to act in that direction. For instance, when KSK asked the world to ensure that they watch what they do and eat to prevent kidney problems in their lives, l can attest today that a lot of my friends and myself are going the direction of his education. Although he was serious, he still made us laugh about some of the things he talked about.

KSK - ADOM OTCHERE: KSK in the corner of challenges in this country, he finds the light that makes him stand out to digest the issues to the best of his listeners. With courage, he has being able to bring to light the current affairs of the country and world at large to the door step of the ordinary Ghanaian and beyond. With great selection of issues and panelists, he is able to satisfy the one listening to his program in the best way that he can. He is tolerant and very strict and ensures that his platform is never used to cause fear, panic and confusion to his listeners. Simply put indiscipline and disrespectfulness is never allowed in his corner; no matter who you are.

KSK – ABA ANAMOAH: KSK a young dynamic and courageous man who would go all length to make his point known to the world. Some call him the “wild” one with the way he handles all these influential personalities who he invites to his studio but to me he is the voice of what he stands for “the people”. With all what he is involved with; he tries as much as possible to ensure that what he is addressing is well understood by those listening. An instance is the issue of the kidney disease.

KSK – ADAKABRE: a man who would love to add comic to his presentations to ensure that the lighter side of issues is also seen so his listeners won’t take everything in the arena of challenges serious because in his presentations, lies a solution. He goes ahead and laughs with his express “agyaaa tolaw!”

KSK – SHAMIMA: A young intelligent, dynamic and well focused man who has stood his grounds in the area where very few men would dare. I call him the Martin Luther King Jnr of today’s media political platform. Fearless and ask what must be asked. And when he thinks the good people of Ghana is being deceived, he would stand for the Ghanaian and ask for the prove or evidence and go further to tell Ghana the truth of the matter by way of letting his thoughts out which just a few media personalities would dare. He is really an icon for the Ghanaian child and the young ones of this generation.
Now, l want to ask something, all these personalities deserve the award but must KSK not be given the award? If not for anything at all for the following 5 points:

1.      He used his voice and platform to earn thousands of dollars to support the Christian Council in building a Kidney Centre which would save millions of people in the country and beyond.

2.      He used his voice and platform to save the life a sick lady Matilda who would one day become a mother. (This means, he has saved a generation of people who would help build this country through the lineage of Abigail)

3.      He used his voice to bring peace among Ghanaians when politicians deceive the ordinary Ghanaian (l won’t mention names because we have heard some of these politicians mess up themselves when asked intelligent questions).

4.      KSK used his voice and platform to educate the ordinary Ghanaian on issues in the country. ( Health, Sanitation, Disasters, Politics, Law, Education etc)

5.      KSK used his personality to promote the awareness of HIV / AIDS in the country and the fact of us Ghanaians not stigmatizing them that are affected.

KWAME SEFA – KAYI always remains me of this quote,
“Regardless of age, regardless of position, regardless of the business we happen to be in, all of us need to understand the importance of branding,
WE ARE CEOs OF OUR OWN COMPANIES:
“ME  Inc”.
To be in business today, our most important job is to be head marketer for the brand called YOU.”

KSK, a man needs not to be praised and recognized when dead but it must be done when one is alive. I salute you KSK for winning the award. It is our little way as Ghanaians to say THANK YOU.

Just like you always humbly request; “when you say a prayer, please say for me too”.
He shall always be a brand in my prayer.

KSK is a BRAND and not a simple personality.

We all say thank you

CHAIRMAN GENERAL KWAME SEFA – KAYI.
(GOD BLESS)

The Blackman; the pearl of pride

“Is the UEFA Championship final 2012 here in Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany.
Bayern Munich seeks for their 5th title and Chelsea seek for their first.
Chelsea a team that the owner have invested over a billion and half into so they can win the UEFA Championship title is already down by a goal scored by Thomas Muller the German International for Bayern Munich.
Chelsea gets their first corner kick of the match and its Mata behind the ball. He kicks and there it’s Drogba who heads the ball into the net. It Bayern Munich 1 – Chelsea 1 with less than 10 minutes to end the game.
It’s the opportunity for Chelsea to lift the trophy for the 1st time in their history. It’s Drogba behind the ball; would he do it for Chelsea, Africa and himself? Oh…yes!! He does it; he puts the ball at the back of the net and Drogba has won it for Chelsea
The crowd is absolutely crazy here and the fans of Chelsea are all over the place.”

Today the 19th May, 2012, the dream of the manager of the team after all his investments;
the dream of Fernando Torres to win a major trophy have come true and
the dream for these African players and other players of Chelsea have come true.
Everyone here in the Chelsea team is extremely happy due to one man DIDIER DROGBA, the Ivorian and African.
When l watched the final game of the UEFA champions league final in the comfort of my room, these were the words that went on in my mind.
An African has finally brought the dreams of all to reality.
Africans as the spirit is, no matter what you do to an African, whether good or bad, there is always the special force or spirit laying deep in an African that would always show at the moment where restoration is needed; life is needed; hope is needed; possibility is yearn for.
Millions of fans of Chelsea all over the world celebrated because of one African.
That is the true spirit of Africa.
No matter where you are as an African, you have that African Spirit; trust me; that spirit is in you.
When the United State of America needed someone to bring them HOPE and breathe a new breath into the U.S.A Economy, it was Obama that they called for (African – American).
When the world needed PEACE in Syria, it was Kofi Annan they called for.
Today, when is time for the Olympics, just watch the people who would be dominating. Most of them would be blacks, when it comes to getting the ultimate, an African Spirit would do everything possible to make it happen. Just relax and watch the up-coming LONDON OLYMPICS.
The African or Blackman have gone through all the moments of tears, pain, crisis, hunger, famine, rough and tough moments, diseases, confusion, deception, slavery, abuse and so on. And through all these moments, the Black man survived and it identity have never being lot no matter what.
Today, is the same Blackman that is being called upon to lead the way through these moments of all these challenges.
The Blackman has become an expert in all these negative moments and now that the world is experiencing it, the world is now calling on the Blackman to lead it to the promise land since the Blackman have seen it all before.
Drogba was not a starter in Chelsea game during the era of their former coach AVB but when the new one(Di Mattio) can in, he saw the people who have seen it all before and called upon the people who can lead the way to the top. Make the list of the players who played for Chelsea on that day and you would understand why am saying this.
During the era of George Walker Bush, America went through a lot of challenging moments and then the Americans called for a leader who can lead them to the promise land; OBAMA a BLACKMAN.
If you are a Blackman, this is the time that you need to put on your thinking cap to see yourself as the one that world is calling to lead the world through this moment of challenges. This is because you have seen it all before and is only you who can make everyone proud and dreams fulfilled.
Never look down on yourself because the moment of truth has come and that time is now. We have the spirit of hope and possibility in us and the spirit of never given up is always in us. Where ever you on earth and you are a Blackman, make the best out of the little opportunity available and if there is none, create them because the world is looking up to you to make this place a better place to be.
Forget those past times of pain and hatred but rather see it as the moment that you went through to challenge you to get to this moment of championing a course and leadership role. The future is in your direction. Lead the world and never have any excuse for failures but a reason to succeed; and that reason are your moment of the past.
THE MOMENT HAS COME AND THE MOMENT IS NOW. GO FOR IT, TAKE IT AND YOU WOULD SHARE IN ALL THE SUCCESS THAT COMES.
Don’t ever forget this, no matter where they take you as a Blackman, your true identity would forever identify you. A BLACKMAN never dies and that; l am proud to be one.

(PLEASE MAKE NO MISTAKE. THIS IS NEVER AGAINST ANYONE WITH A DIFFERENT SKIN COLOUR BUT IS TO EMPOWER THE BLACKMAN AND MAKE THAT INFERIOR IDEAS IN THE MINDS OF MY FELLOW BLACKMEN EVAPORATE OFF THEIR MINDS)
THE BLACKMAN’S TIME IS NOW.

BIG BROTHER AFRICA

BIG BROTHER AFRICA is undoubtedly one of the most viewed reality shows in Africa. It has gained a huge audience over the years. From Season to season it keeps growing stronger and stronger. Big Brother Africa today, is having large followers and the organizers should be congratulated for such an achievement.

l have personally followed this year's edition of the show which is dubbed "STAR GAME".
Its really interesting but l tried very hard to understand the whole concept and what exactly it intends to promote.
lf am right, l see the show as trying to bring to light the different kind of people and characters we have in different countries and better how best they will relate to each other under one umbrella.
Secondly, l think the show is trying to bring to light the interrelationship between people from different backgrounds.l stand to be corrected but if these are the ideas behind it, l guess its one way or the other good.

l asked myself this question if these housemates are really portraying what their country really represent or they are there to represent themselves?

How l wish BIG BROTHER AFRICA with its huge audience and followers all over the world would help promote the true African Heritage, the challenges of Africa and also bring to light some of the ways forward to a developed Africa.

l never thought of this until a friend of my asked me whether what am watching is BIG BROTHER AFRICA or BIG BROTHER "FOREIGN"?
All the housemates are trying to behavior like some foreigner from another continent. The values of the African is actually missing and l personally was happy when BIG BROTHER called the house to other.

Now you imagine, all these housemates interacting among themselves begin to educate themselves on the different cultures they are coming from. Not only would they be educating themselves but also be educating the rest of the world.
l know some people would condem Africa's biggest realty show BIG BROTHER but l ask all these people why we as Africans are quick to destroying ourselves?

žWhether the show is good or bad is not the issue. What is significant is that BIG BROTHER can be used as a force to drive the promotional bus of tourism in Africa. It harps a message. When the message is persistent, it becomes persuasive. Over time, the audience is forced to imbibe, sometimes unconsciously. Eventually, the message becomes normal, then acceptable and ultimately ‘true’.  If not for anything at all, BIG BROTHER have promoted South Africa one way or the other.
l still believe that BIG BROTHER can be used as a platform to educate, inform and to entertainment the positive image of Africa.
The bottom line is that capitalising on BIG BROTHER to showcase a national brand is highly effective and positive.

To the organizers, partners, sponsors and to multichoice (DSTV, AFRICA MAGIC)we say well done for such a gift to Africa but more can be done to promote the continent Africa.
