James Ikechukwu Esomugha popularly known as Jim Iyke a Nigerian Actor has lost his mother just this Monday (1st April,2014) Information reaching us indicates,his mother Mrs Esomugha has not in recent times experienced good health and even travelled to India for treatment. Unconfirmed reports indicates she died as a result of a stroke attack.
“My mother’s sacrifices is incomparable, her patience limitless, her place in my heart is irreplaceable. She is the barometer I measure all women. I love you mom” he continues...
“Sparkle in her eyes when she sees me. Pride in her voice when she brags about me. God’s force of nature. Mom, Jehovah’s greatest miracle in my life”, these were the words of Jim Iyke some months ago in an interview about his mother.
James Ikechukwu Esomugha popularly known as Jim Iyke a Nigerian Actor is a Nigerian born actor in Nigeria's movie industry (popularly called Nollywood) and one of the stars of the movie Last Flight to Abuja alongside Omotola Jalade Ekeinde and Hakeem Kae-Kazim.
He was born on September 25, 1970 in Libreville, Gabon.
His parents are Mr and Mrs Stephen OKOLUE whose last name changed to Esomugha from Enugu Agidi village in Anambra State. He is the only boy in a family of eight children.
Jim Iyke studied at the University of Jos, Plateau State where he got a diploma in Banking and Finance and then a B.Sc. in Philosophy.
Jim Iyke began acting in 2001. He one of the highest paid actors in Nollywood and has appeared in over 150 films. He started a movie production company, Untamed Productions. Jim Iyke began his own music label, Untamed Records and produced a first album, titled “Who Am I?” featuring some of Nigeria’s top musicians such as TuFace Idibia, and Sound Sultan. He is currently in a romantic relationship with a Ghanian actress, Nadia Buari.
