The tickets for the 5th edition of Tigo Ghana Meets Naia concert are
finally out for sale to the general public after weeks of launching the
event at Oak Plaza Hotel in Accra.
Event goers have been anxiously waiting to buy the limited tickets for this year’s event due to the success the annual concept has achieved over the past four years.
Tickets are selling at Gh100cedis and Gh150cedis for the upper deck and VIP respectively.

Hip Hop artist M.anifest over the weekend delivered a special May Day
headlining performance at the just-concluded Harare International
Festival of the Arts (HIFA). The six day festival was closed yesterday
by legend Salif Keita.The Ghanaian rapper who was performing in Zimbabwe for the first time brought along OBY band and delivered a unique and riveting hour plus of original music, switching from English to Twi and pidgin on the Zol mainstage.
The electrifying set featured excellent cameos from some of Zimbabwe’s finest. Shingai Shoniwa of the UK band “The Noisettes” raised the energy through the roof when she arrived for an extended jam session of the recently released song, ‘Forget Dem’.
Shingai who is no stranger to HIFA was a ball of fire belting out her own lyrics to a groovy highlife vibe mixed with 808 drums. The teeming crowd was held spellbound by the showmanship of Shingai and the musical mastery of M.anifest.
Zimbabwean rapper Tehn Diamond, won the hearts of many as he joined M.anifest to deliver a verse to ‘Opeimu’. The crowd ate it up and wanted more.
M.anifest delivered a euphoric set for the Zimbabwean audience and displayed the power and musical splendor in the fusion of African music and Hip-Hop.

There is no need to inquire about your welfare, going by your latest address; you are most certainly in a better place. Kofi, we have all missed you, your transition took us all by surprise but we are grateful to God for a life well spent on this side of the Terra-Firma.
A lot have happened since the last time we met a little over one year ago. I remember how reassuring you sounded as I raised my concern regarding your health. As I sat on the edge of the bed watching you, I couldn’t help but wonder how strong you always are for the people around you.
Since you relocated to your now permanent address, a lot have been happening. I want to start by telling you some of the very notable ones; On the economic front, we are due to take delivery of the first batch of the IMF bailout, I know your Pan-African spirit would have disapproved of it and sure that by now you would be making mockery of your friends in government as to why Mother got here. I see your new residence is located at the Light Avenue, how interesting considering the extent of ceaseless power cut we now experience across the country.

The “Dumsor” phenomenon has now eaten deeply into the very fabric of
both our social and economic life. I know where you stood on economic
empowerment for our people, not just in Ghana but for Africa in general.
For instance, you have always insisted that the two major criteria
needed to develop a country like Nigeria is corrupt less leadership and
steady power supply; I hope we do not have to make such wishes for Ghana
some years from now, I sincerely hope not.
Well, enough of economic talk, though I know how passionate you are about the economy and politics. Kofi, we all have missed you, I spoke with your dear wife a few days ago, she was very sweet, and from what I gathered from our conversation she really is trying her best to immortalize you, I couldn’t stop the tears from flowing down my eyes after our conversation..

Yvonne Nelson, Sarkodie & Others Hit The Streets Of Accra For #DumsorMustStop
After a week long voice out from Ghanaian movie and music celebrities on the current power failure in the country, the celebrities have decided to hit the streets to announce the displeasure of the situation.
A few politicians have had their opinions(bad and worse attacking personalities) on the views of the celebrities and the President of the land has also re-echoed his promise to end the challenge by the end of the year through his twitter account.
Finally, the time has come for the celebrities to take their views from the social media platform to the streets.
#DumsorMustStop campaign as it is described is being championed by movie and music celebrities in Ghana.
Actress Yvonne Nelson and Sarkodie have teamed up to organise a vigil
for concerned Ghanaians to gather at the University of Ghana football
field on May 16th and proceed peacefully to the Green park opposite the
Villagio at the Tettey Quashie Interchange.
The event which will start around 5:00 pm is expected to be attended by over 500 Ghanaians.

This is for the school children who have to study with lanterns and
torches to write exams. This is for the sick people at the hospitals who
have to endure dumsor on their sick beds. This is for the many patients
who are unable to receive efficient healthcare because of dumsor.
This is for you and I and the unborn generation of this great nation.
Its official we are holding the #dumsormuststop vigil. as you can see in the letter my lawyers have written to the Police and informed them of the vigil. Details are in the letter. I will be leading this myself with my friends.
